Comfort of Food | Comfort of Friends

Marcy's-Thank-Yous-2
Marcy's-Thank-Yous
These are very special thank you notes that I created for my friend's mother. Marcy's mom, Marie, has been battling breast cancer & wanted to send thank you notes to all her friends that were kind enough to bring her meals while she was recovering. It's amazing how comforting it is to have a home-cooked meal when you aren't feeling well. It can really do wonders for your soul & your spirit. I was so happy I got to create these notecards for good people, who did great things, for a very brave woman!

What's In Store...

Soon to be "what's in THE store!" Here's a glimpse at the type of invitations that will be available when we get our online shop up & running!

Andrea + Andrew

I finished these up before Christmas but haven't been able to post them yet! These were definitely one of my favorite invitations I've worked on - not to mention one of the most fun brides I've worked with too! Andrea had sent me a swatchbook of her color scheme when we first started and I was so excited!! :) We used a shimmery black folded card and mounted the invitation layer to the inside. A matching yellow ribbon was tied in a bow and also served the practical purpose of keeping the RSVP in place on the inside of the card. I'm looking forward to getting started on their programs in the next few months!

All Packed Up!

Happy Holidays & the Winner of Our Giveaway!

Time for the Holidays! I barely swallowed my last bite of Thanksgiving turkey & Christmas music was already pumping through every house, radio station and mall. We announced the winner of our Holiday notecard giveaway this morning on Facebook to kick off the season here at Swatchbook Weddings. Here's the sweet little notecards won by Monique here in Phoenix! Congratulations!

Nothin' But Blue Skies

This may have been the fastest turnaround on an invite yet! Talk about easy to please, Risha knew exactly what she wanted & we knocked it out in 2 weeks! I'd say this pretty much conveys a Hawaii wedding, wouldn't you? Aaahhhhhh, beaches & blue skies...

...okay, we pretty much have blue skies all the time here in Phoenix, but ya know, it's just not the same as a Hawaiian blue sky! ;)

Holiday Happening Invitation

Okay, file this under >> RANDOM. For the past 3 years I have done invitations for this really fun holiday party thrown by a great couple & their friends. They are so funny, every year they want me to photoshop their faces onto bodies of celebrities - 3 years ago they were the cast of Alice, then the Spice Girls, and last year they were the Desperate Housewives. Now keep in mind, there are 2 couples who put this party together, so it's pretty funny seeing the guys as Baby or Posh Spice! Hahaha! This year they are going to be the Jackson 5! I love that they have such a great sense of humor - here's how it's looking so far:

SNEAK PEEK!

Here's a sneak peek at the design for Angie & Corey's Save the Dates! Makes me want to head to Vegas! :)

Sealed with a Kiss

This weekend I finished up invitations for Lisa's rehearsal dinner/day-after brunch — they turned out so cute! We wanted to combine both events onto one invitation, so the top half invites them to the dinner, then you flip it around and the bottom half invites them to the brunch. The look & feel was based off of her bridal shower invitations we wrapped up a few weeks ago, tying in the blue and eggplant purple, along with the swirl design she loved. My favorite part is the cute little bride & groom kissing on the outside of the envelopes! :) Thanks again for being SO great to work with Lisa, I've had a blast!! Now onto the programs!

Lisa's Getting Married!

This weekend I finished assembling bridal shower invitations for Lisa. I LOVE the color combo she picked out! Here's a couple photos of the finished product:

Final Fling Before the Ring!

I was looking through my portfolio this morning and came across these bachelorette party invitations. I created them for my best friend, Amanda, so they are extra special!! We had so much fun celebrating her "Final Fling Before the Ring!"
